Film To Digital, An Exercise in Creativity and Posterity

Break Dancing In Harlem

Break Dancing In Harlem

Going through my old negatives, I found a roll of some faves from a fantastic dancing event in Harlem, NYC. Although I’m a Lehigh Valley photographer, I do venture out to great cities and towns across the U.S. New York is one of the best photographic subjects for any photographer. Anyway, I scanned a few frames from that shoot and added a modern twist with photoshop. It turned out so great that I added to my new website. http://www.LehighValleyHeadshots.com

The reason I’m posting this is to send another tickle to all photographers, and anyone out there really, to ‘remember’ the wealth of images from your old film/slides. Technology has grown enormously since most of the old film images were created. Once in a while, go through and scan a few, say 2 rolls a month, etc. Do this not only for creativity but also as an archival process. …and don’t forget your family and friends.
